Our Mission

GrahGita was founded with a singular mission: to strip away the fluff of modern pop-astrology and return to the hard astronomical mathematics that underpin genuine Vedic Jyotish. Every chart, timeline and report on this platform is freshly computed from planetary ephemeris data — never pre-written, never cached from generic templates.

We believe that Vedic astrology tools should be accessible to everyone, free of charge, and without requiring an account. Whether you are a student of Jyotish verifying your manual calculations, a practitioner generating client charts, or simply curious about your birth blueprint, GrahGita provides the same professional-grade accuracy used by traditional astrologers — delivered in seconds via the browser.

Our Calculation Stack

Accuracy is non-negotiable. Every calculation on GrahGita is powered by the Swiss Ephemeris library — the same astronomical engine trusted by professional astrologers, planetarium software, and NASA-affiliated researchers worldwide. Planetary longitudes are accurate to arc-seconds for the period 5400 BCE to 5400 CE.

For the critical sidereal conversion, we use the Lahiri Ayanamsha (Chitra Paksha), officially recommended by the Government of India's Calendar Reform Committee. This is the standard used by the majority of Jyotish practitioners in India and ensures your Rashi, Nakshatra, and Lagna align with the classical tradition.

Every piece of content on GrahGita — from blog articles to dosha reference pages — is reviewed for factual accuracy against classical Jyotish texts (Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, Phaladeepika, and Saravali). Our daily horoscopes are generated using AI models trained on Vedic astrological principles and reviewed for consistency with the actual planetary transits of the day.

We prioritize transparency: our calculation methodology, data sources, and ayanamsha choice are all documented on this page and in our llms.txt file for AI search engines.

Privacy First

Your birth details are processed in real-time on the server to generate your chart. We do not permanently store your exact birth time or location in any database without your explicit consent. No account is required to use any tool on GrahGita. Analytics are limited to aggregate, anonymised usage metrics via Vercel Analytics and Firebase.
