The Bhagavad Gita (भगवद् गीता) is a 700-verse Hindu scripture that forms chapters 23–40 of the Bhishma Parva within the epic Mahabharata. It is presented as a dialogue between Prince Arjuna and Lord Krishna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, just before the commencement of the Mahabharata war.
