GrahGita AI ("we," "us," or "our") operates the GrahGita AI mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you use the App.

By creating an account or using the App you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

• Email & password — when you sign up with email/password authentication.
• Google account data — name, email, and profile photo when you sign in with Google OAuth.

1.2 Profile & Birth Data

To generate your Vedic birth chart (Kundli), we collect:

• Full name
• Date of birth
• Time of birth
• Place of birth (city, state, country)
• Latitude and longitude of birth place
• Gender

This data is essential for astrological computations and is stored in your user profile.

1.3 Location Data (Optional)

With your explicit permission the App may access your device's GPS to auto-detect your current city for Panchang (daily almanac) calculations. Location access is optional; you may enter a city manually instead. We do not track or store your real-time location history.

1.4 Chat & AI Interaction Data

When you use our AI-powered Astrology Chat or Krishna Chat features, the messages you send are processed to generate responses. Recent messages (up to the last few exchanges) are sent to our AI service provider for context. Chat messages are not permanently stored on our servers beyond the active session.

1.5 Purchase & Credit Data

• Credit balance — the number of AI credits in your account.
• Purchase history — records of credit pack purchases, including transaction tokens and verification status.

We do not collect or store your payment card details, bank information, or billing address. All payment processing is handled by Google Play or Apple App Store.

1.6 Feedback & Bug Reports

If you submit a bug report or feature request through the App, we collect the type of feedback, title, description, and your user ID.

1.7 Device & Usage Data (Automatic)

We automatically collect certain technical data through Firebase services:

• Analytics: App usage patterns, screen views, feature engagement, session duration, and general device information (device model, OS version, app version).
• Crashlytics: Crash logs, stack traces, device state at time of crash, and app version for stability monitoring.
• Cloud Messaging: A device token for delivering push notifications (daily horoscope reminders, streak notifications).

1.8 Streak & Engagement Data

We track your daily login streaks and engagement to award bonus credits and send motivational notifications.

4. Data Storage & Security

• Your data is stored in Supabase's cloud infrastructure with row-level security (RLS) policies ensuring users can only access their own data.
• Passwords are hashed — we never store plain-text passwords.
• API communications use HTTPS/TLS encryption with certificate pinning on mobile for additional security.
• AI API keys and sensitive credentials are stored server-side in Edge Functions and are never exposed to the client app.
• Text-to-speech processing happens entirely on your device — audio data is not transmitted externally.

5. Data Retention

• Account & profile data: Retained as long as your account is active.
• Chat messages: Maintained only during the active chat session for context. Not permanently stored on our servers.
• Purchase records: Retained for the lifetime of your account for credit verification and support purposes.
• Analytics & crash data: Retained according to Firebase's standard retention periods (typically up to 14 months for Analytics).
• Feedback submissions: Retained until the issue is resolved or the feature is evaluated.

6. Your Rights & Choices

6.1 Access & View Your Data

You can view your profile, birth data, and credit balance directly within the App's Settings screen.

6.2 Update Your Data

You can update your name and profile information through the App.

6.3 Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Delete Account. This action:

• Permanently removes your profile, birth data, Kundli, chat history, and all associated records.
• Purchased credits that have not been used will be permanently lost.
• Cannot be undone.

Upon account deletion, we invoke a server-side function that removes all your data from our database.

6.4 Location Permission

You can grant or revoke location access at any time through your device's system settings.

You can enable or disable push notifications through the App's Settings or your device's notification settings.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.

We share data only with the third-party service providers listed in Section 3, strictly for the purposes described in this policy. We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries where our service providers operate (including the United States). By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your data to these locations. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the App or through a push notification. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates when the latest revision was made. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
