अहिंसा सत्यमक्रोधस्त्यागः शान्तिरपैशुनम् |

दया भूतेष्वलोलुप्त्वं मार्दवं ह्रीरचापलम् ||१६-२||

Transliteration

ahiṃsā satyamakrodhastyāgaḥ śāntirapaiśunam . dayā bhūteṣvaloluptvaṃ mārdavaṃ hrīracāpalam ||16-2||

अहिंसा, सत्य, क्रोध का अभाव, त्याग, शान्ति, अपैशुनम् (किसी की निन्दा न करना), भूतमात्र के प्रति दया, अलोलुपता , मार्दव (कोमलता), लज्जा, अचंचलता।।

English Translation

Non-injury, truthfulness, absence of anger, renunciation, control of the internal organ, absence of vilification, kindness to creatures, non-covetousness, gentleness, modesty, freedom from restlessness;
