न हि प्रपश्यामि ममापनुद्याद्

यच्छोकमुच्छोषणमिन्द्रियाणाम् |

अवाप्य भूमावसपत्नमृद्धं

राज्यं सुराणामपि चाधिपत्यम् ||२-८||

Transliteration

na hi prapaśyāmi mamāpanudyād yacchokamucchoṣaṇamindriyāṇām . avāpya bhūmāvasapatnamṛddhaṃ rājyaṃ surāṇāmapi cādhipatyam ||2-8||

हिन्दी अनुवाद · Hindi Translation

पृथ्वी पर निष्कण्टक समृद्ध राज्य को और देवताओं के स्वामित्व को प्राप्त होकर भी मैं उस उपाय को नहीं देखता हूँ, जो मेरी इन्द्रियों को सुखाने वाले इस शोक को दूर कर सके।।

English Translation

Because, I do not see that which can, even after aciring on this earth a prosperous kingdom free from enemies and even sovereignty over the gods, remove my sorrow (which is) blasting the senses.
